Day 1 – Thursday – Baku

Welcome to Baku. Today is arrival day free time. Overnight at the hotel. Overnight Baku.

4 star, Central Park Hotel

Day 2 – Friday – Baku Old City and Absheron Peninsula tour

9:00 – Baku City Tour. Shirvanshah’s Palace, Maidan Tower, Ateshgah and Carpet Museum. After lunch we drive to Absheron Peninsual. Visit the Burning mountain Yanar Dag, Mardakan Castle and Ramana Castle. Overnight Baku

4 star, Central Park Hotel

Day 3 – Saturday – Baku – Gobustan – Shamakhi – Sheki

9:00 – Drive to Gobustan. Visit Gobustan National Park. Drive to Shamakhi and visit Diribaba Mausoleum. After lunch, we visit Juma-Mosque (Friday Mosque) of Shamakhi city, Seven Domes – the complex of tombs built for Shirvan’s royal family in 18th C. We then drive to Sheki. Overnight Sheki.

4 star, Sheki Saray Hotel

Day 4 – Sunday – Sheki – Lagodekhi Border – Tbilisi

9:00 – Morning visit of Sheki Khan’s Palace. After lunch drive to to Lagodegkhi Border and visit Gremi Architectural Complex (16th – 17th C). Drive on to Tbilisi. Overnight Tbilisi.

Day 5 – Monday – Half Day Tbilisi City Tour

10:00 – Tbilisi sightseeing tour visiting; Old City, Metekhi Church, Narikala Fortress, Abanotubani – Sulphur bath district , Sioni Cathedral, Anchiskhati Basilica and Rustaveli Avenue. Free time. Suggested places to visit: National Museum of Georgia, Open Air Ethnographic Museum. 20:00 – Welcome dinner. Overnight Tbilisi.

Day 6 – Tuesday – Round trip to the Wine Region – Kakheti

09:00 – Drive to the Kakheti region. Sights visited: Bodbe Nunnery, Sighnaghi ‘City of Love’. 13:00 – Lunch and wine tasting at a local winery. Visit Tsinandali Family Estate. Overnight Tbilisi.

Day 7 – Wednesday – Tbilisi to Khevi Province

09:00 – Drive to Mtskheta. Sights visited: Jvari Monastery, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. In the afternoon drive along Georgian Military Highway and visit Ananuri Architectural Complex. 20:00 – Dinner at the hotel. Overnight Gudauri

4 star, Gudauri Marco Polo

Day 8 – Thursday – Caucasus Mountains

09:00 – Drive to Stepantsminda. Hike up to Gergeti Trinity Church – app. 3hrs. hiking (or by optional 4WD vehicle). 20:00 Dinner at the hotel. Overnight Gudauri.

Day 9 – Friday – Uplistsikhe, Stalin Museum, Kutaisi

09:00 – Drive to Uplistsikhe. Explore Uplistsikhe rock-hewn town. After lunch visit Stalin Museum and house, where Stalin, the leader of Soviet Union, was born. Then drive to Akhaltsikhe via Borjomi. Visit Borjomi Park to taste Brojomi mineral water. Overnight Akhaltsikhe.

Day 10 – Saturday – Akhaltsikhe, Vardzia, Yerevan

09:00 – Drive to Vardzia, explore the Vardzia Cave Complex. Afternoon drive to Yerevan, along the way a photo stop at Khertvisi Fortress. 20:00 – Dinner. Overnight Yerevan.

4 star, Ani Plaza Hotel

Day 11 – Sunday – Yerevan, Echmiadzin

09:00 – Visit Echmiadzin Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon we return to Yerevan for an afternoon city tour. Visit of Matenadaran Museum and Tsitsernakaberd – the memorial complex dedicated to the victims of the Great Armenian Genocide. Overnight Yerevan.

4 star, Ani Plaza Hotel

Day 12 – Monday – Garni – Geghard – Khor Virap

10:00 – Visit Garni Hellenistic temple and Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon we visit Khor-Virap – “Deep Dungeon”, one of the holiest sites in Armenia before returning to Yerevan. Overnight Yerevan.

4 star, Ani Plaza Hotel

Day 13 – Tuesday – Yerevan – Sevan – Sadakhlo – Tbilisi

9:00 – Drive to Lake Sevan, one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world. Visit Sevan Monastery. In the afternoon, we drive to Alaverdi and visit Haghpat Monastery. Later we return to Tbilisi. Overnight Tbilisi.

Day 14 – Wednesday – Tbilisi

Check-out from the hotel till noon. End of the tour.
